On 4/19/03, a call was received, reporting a suspicious person. When Deputies arrived, the suspect fled in a stolen vehicle. He then abandoned the vehicle, fleeing on foot. K-9 Alko and his handler, Sergeant Frank Glover, tracked the suspect, who subsequently stabbed K-9 Alko, causing his death.
